Dakkada FC Management Fraud: Akwa Ibom State Govt Must Act Now!!!

By Daily Sports on March 30, 2020

We cannot pretend that all is well here, as the COVID-19 ravages the entire globe. The most worrisome thing presently is the way and manner it is rapidly spreading in Nigeria despite all hands being on deck as we are made to understand. The way the dreaded virus spreads leaves sour taste in the mouth and Nigerians of goodwill have been praying and calling on God to have Mercy on His people.

The deadly virus though, is not a death sentence if discovered early and treated holistically, likewise, but our collective headache in Nigeria is the dishonesty that has overtaken the entire landscape of the once upon a time innocent country.

Many Nigerians that travel weekly abroad are inflicted but are hiding in their homes and spreading such at will. Why they refused to submit themselves for test is baffling. However, we shall conquer.

The scourge, one must admit, has dealt deadly blows to all sectors of life as it has forced total lockdown in many countries. For instance, the Olympic Games have been postponed for the first time, when there is no war, which speaks volume of the seriousness of the health issue on ground.

Many sporting activities have been shut down to avoid the spread of this pandemic which is catching up widely and fast in Nigeria where everything is business as usual. Presently, we can only say that our help is in the name of the Lord.

Our local sports have been put on hold indefinitely, all in the bid to contain this pandemic. Even some States have gone ahead to effect total lockdown. Since Nigeria relaxed initially, failing woefully to take the bull by the horns, we are feeling the effect now.

This sluggish government waited until it is obvious the issue is getting out of hands, before shutting down the airports to international flights. So far, those rich Nigerians that never stay back home, using tax payers money to travel all over the world have been importing the dreaded virus into the country. Unfortunately, we all know that Nigeria is UNREADY for the outbreak of any deadly disease.

Sports, which have served as a rallying and uniting point have been shut down, thereby making the world dull and miserable as long as this scourge lasts.

Again, as we are praying for this cup to quickly pass, the news of how Dakkada Fc of Uyo management has been short changing the players comes readily to mind.

It is disheartening as what is happening in the Uyo based football club further brings to the fore, man’s inhumanity to man.

How on earth would some tiny group of people gang up against the players whose livelihoods depend solely on the game they play week in, week out?

These players of Dakkada FC have been suffering half pay since last year while this management shares the hard earned sweat of these lads, who no doubt are bread winners of their various families.

To be honest with you, my heart has been bleeding since I read the story in www.dailysportsng.com and I have been shaking my head in total disbelief. The wickedness meted out to these players by her management is worrisome. Since after reading the story, I cannot help but label the management of Dakkada FC of Uyo as wicked to the highest order of ranking. They are happy living off the sweat of the poor lads who slug it out to earn a living for themselves and their various families.

I hope that Akwa Ibom State Government would swiftly step in to investigate this alarming fraud and hand over the management of this new NPFL outfit to the EFCC to answer for their misdeeds and crime against their sons engaged in honest living. The so called management that ought to manage them prudently are the ones defrauding them mercilessly.

The Dakkada FC management needs no mercy because of their act of wickedness and thievery.

It is sad that people will engage in such wicked act against those under them. Though such act is synonymous with Nigeria, I suggest the Akwa Ibom State Government should brace up to clear its name as regards this wickedness.

Heaven will judge harshly, those involved in this fraudulent act for their insincerity against the boys put under them for guidance and upkeep through their sweat.

Nigeria is rotten. The management of Dakkada FC by implication is fraud personified. They have shown total and outright dishonesty and so should be clamped down in the EFCC cell to rot away. They merited it or what do you say.

We will as usual keep tabs and dig deeper to bring more on this inhuman act. Our social media handles are ever open and let’s interact there as COVID-19 has taken the centre stage. However, this fraud by Dakkada FC management obviously will not escape our eagle eyes and informed commentary, until justice is seen to be done. We collectively advocate here, as always, that there must not be sacred cow (s)! Keep shooting hard till next week!!!
