Kanu drags 40 oldies to Owerri

By Daily Sports on March 5, 2016

Two-time African Footballer of the Year, Nwankwo Kanu, will be hosting a 7-aside tournament for players from 40 years of age and above.

The event billed to take place at the Nwankwo Kanu Sports Centre in Owerri will start from March 27 and through the forthcoming Easter holidays.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Arsenal legend said the tournament was put together as part of his health and wellness campaign for soccer aficionados in Owerri and environs.

“This is going to be a tournament to keep 40-years-old football fans fit and healthy,” stated the 1996 Atlanta Olympic soccer gold medal-winning captain. (The AUTHORITY)
