The President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick has described the death of the Remo Stars Football Club, Tiyamiyu Kazeem as a tragedy to the football family.
Kazeem who was the assistant captain of his team was allegedly killed by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) attached to the Ogun State Police Command last Saturday at Sagamu, along the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway after he was arrested for being an internet fraudster (Yahoo boy).

He said: “It is a very solemn moment for every player. Everyone playing football is very important to us as a family of football. We felt sad when we heard of the incident.
“I really want to on behalf of the entire football family in Nigeria and beyond, express our heartfelt condolences to your family. It is because of that we left everything we are doing to pay this condolence, which is very important.” (The Guardian)
