Nasarawa United Grieves Over Death Of Player, Administrator And Coach

The Management of Nasarawa United Football Club has expressed grief at the death of Remo Stars Assistant Captain Taimiyu Kazeem, erstwhile Vice Chairman of Rivers State Football Association, Chief Kile Omineokuma, and most recently, former international and Assistant Coach of Nigeria’s U-17 and U-20 football teams as well as Kano Pillars’ Team Manager, Kabiru Baleria.

Taimiyu Kazeem allegedly died in the hands of SARS officers last weekend in Ogun State, while Kile Omineokuma and Coach Kabiru Baleria both died of natural cause(s).

Nasarawa United’s Chairman, Barrister Isaac Danladi, who spoke on behalf of the club, prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and conveyed the deep sympathies of the club to the bereaved members of the affected families.

He said on Thursday: “Please accept, on behalf of Nasarawa United, my deepest condolences on hearing of these tragic deaths.

“These are great individuals whose values and absence will be greatly missed.

“On behalf of Nasarawa United Football Club, kindly share our deepest condolences to the affected families and loved ones.

“We know that words are not enough at times like this, but we do wish you to acknowledge that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad and difficult moment.”
