The Management of Rivers United FC has sent a message of condolence to the Rivers State Football Association over the demise, last week, of the FA’s erstwhile Vice Chairman, Chief H. I. Omineokuma-Kile.

Speaking on behalf of the club, the General Manager, Chief Dr Okey Kpalukwu (Eze-Udo), expressed great sadness over the death of Chief Omineokuma-Kile while extolling his qualities as a respected football administrator.

“This is a great loss, not only to the football fraternity in Rivers State but also to the larger Nigerian football family,” Chief Kpalukwu said.

“We will miss him greatly particularly his drive in developing the game of football in Rivers State and Nigerian.

“We deeply commiserate with his family and pray that God gives them the fortitude to bear the loss,” he said.
