Barcelona To Battle Chelsea For Onana’s Signature

By Daily Sports on February 23, 2020

Ajax Amsterdam’s player exodus is set to continue into the upcoming transfer window with Andre Onana the latest star linked with a big money move away from the club.

According to Sport, Barcelona have identified the Cameroon international as a transfer target.

The 23-year-old progressed through the ranks at the Catalan club, before joining Ajax five years ago – where he has gone onto establishing himself as one of the most sought after shot-stoppers on the continent.

Onana has been heavily linked with a move to English Premier League club Chelsea who are said to be in the market for a new goalkeeper, but Barcelona could tempt him back to the Camp Nou even with Marc-Andre Ter Stegen still at the club.

Onana has kept 74 clean sheets in 173 appearances for Ajax Amsterdam.

Ajax Amsterdam have already agreed to the sale of Hakim Ziyech to Chelsea at the end of the season. (African Football)
