Koulibaly’s Release Clause To Rise In June

By Daily Sports on February 11, 2020

Manchester United target Kalidou Koulibaly’s release clause is set to rise in June.

According to the Mirror, the 28-year-old’s release clause will go up to £127 million ($164m) at the end of the 2019-20 season.

The Red Devils have expressed interest in signing the centre-back over the last year, while big-spending Paris Saint-Germain remain a possible destination for the burly centre-back.

Italian newspapers Corriere dello Sport and Corriere del Mezzogiorno have both highlighted Koulibaly’s transfer value and according to the Mirror, Napoli could be forced to sell the Senegal international if they fail to qualify for European football next season.

Koulibaly has made 21 appearances for Napoli this season, having only returned to action this past weekend following a few weeks on the sidelines due to injury.

The 28-year-old, who is contracted to the Italian club until 2023, has been in Naples since 2014.

Napoli currently occupy 11th place on the Serie A standings, having lost four of their last six league matches. (African Football)
