1,000 match commissioners storm Abuja for NFF seminar

The three-day seminar for match commissioners being organised by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will begin in the Federal Capital, Abuja, today, February 17. Venue is Sharon Ultimate Hotel, Area 3, Abuja.

A story on thenff.com said: “Close to one thousand match commissioners are being expected from the 36 states of the Federation and the FCT, with the officials to be segmented into different days. Match commissioners of the Nigeria Professional Football League will have their day on Wednesday, with officials of the Nigeria National League to take their turn on Thursday and those of the Nigeria Women Football League and the Nationwide League One to be involved on Friday.

“Former NFF 1st Vice President, Mazi Amanze Uchegbulam, CAF General Coordinator and FIFA Match Commissioner, Etubom Paul Bassey and two-time General Secretary of NFF, Dr. Ahmed Tijjani Yusuf will be among the resource persons for the three-day programme.

NFF and FIFA Security Officer, Dr. Christian Emeruwa and retired referee Mohammed Aminu will also deliver papers.”

Chairman of the NFF Match Commissioners’ Appointment Committee, Alhaji Babagana Kalli, assured thenff.com on Tuesday that all was set for the seminar.

“We have perfected all arrangements for the three-day seminar. It is going to be a memorable experience for the match commissioners,” Kalli said.
