The Lucid Sports and P Sports “Football and Education in Russia” scouting programme in some states in Nigeria moves to Kano tomorrow, Friday, January 3, 2020, Daily Sports has learnt.
The paper also learnt that the scouting crew has already identified some outstanding players that can fit into their programme in Russia.
Reputed intermediary, Ojo Omamomo Paul, who led the team alongside former international Joseph Eyimofe and Mr. Akin Savage, said the selected players will soon have their first true test in Russia.
“Three scouted players from Warri centre met our target, which include Omoh Simon from Iwere Rockers FC Warri, Osan Mamah from Golden Friends Football Academy Warri and Mine Advice from Sporting FC all from Warri, Delta State,” he said.
In the Lagos State Centre at the Agege Stadium, Mr. Adedotun Coker presented an award to the scouted players, which include Edun Quadri Oluwasegun from G12 Football Club Collins Edwin FC, Clinton Degol Jephta and I. Okoro from Team Eko.
In the Akwa Ibom State Centre (Uyo), Hon. NSE Essien, Chairman, of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Committee on Youth and Sports, presented award to one of the scouted player, Nelson Hanachor from Port Harcourt City Football Academy, and second scouted player Umoh Hogan Ukpa from Hope of Glory Football Club Calabar.
“We endure the very best young kids that also possess some features that can be well develop in the programme to scale through the programme.”
“We also picked some very good players in other center we went for the program around Nigeria and Kano State is next centre where we hope to get a good players,” Paul said.
