The General Manager of Crown Football Club, Mr Rollanson Odeh, has described the supporters, fans and lovers of the Ajilete Warriors as the best he has ever seen and worked with since his over 35 years in the football industry.
The astute well-travelled administrator rendered the verdict during a thank-you visit to the the club supporters association after Crown’s recent victory over Bayelsa United Football Club of Yenagoa.
Odeh, who was accompanied by the Administrative Secretary, Oyeleye Oyekunle; Welfare Officer Adebowale Adetayo and Team Manager Monsur Suleiman, said: “I came with my men to say a big thank you for the supports, before, during, after the game and as well to appreciate you for the supports ahead.
I appreciated the entire spectators after the game but dim it fit to officially come here as a sign of respect I have for this noble body of sound minds.
“This is neither exaggeration nor leg pulling, you are simply the best. I have worked in different places but your type is uncommon and very unique. I urge you to continue the good job and I believe by His grace we shall all laugh.
“Let’s be very tolerant of ourselves and desist from any act that will hinder the team from moving to the elite division this season. The time is now and we must not misuse this great opportunity.”
The supporters, fans and football lovers were full of cheers devoid of abusive and inciting words even when Bernard Okorowanta put the visitors ahead in the 10th minute of the league opener on Saturday, November 23 at the Soun Township Stadium in Ogbomoso.
The visitors were applauded for the good football artistry and maturity while encomium was showered on the centre referee, Dr Udenaka, and his men for the unbiased officiating.
