Child prodigy Joseph Edede is the toast of Nigerian Premier League clubs.

The product of Edema Football Academy is having over five premier league clubs seeking to sign him for their under-15 team.

The natural left footer who plays from the left back and outside left told Daily Sports: “You see, I want to take football as career and I just want the teams to bear with me as I am in SS3 (Senior Secondary Class 3) now.”

The Isekiri-born rising star popularly called Olumide expressed happiness seeing clubs coming for him at the age of 14. “You see, it shows that my Academy has done a lot in me,” he said, adding: “I just want a club that will give me time to go school and play football; that is my condition to join any premier league club.

“My Academy coach Theoplius Edema is a good coach; he is the man that made me take to football. He coaches in my school, Federal College Warri, and I love the way he coaches.

“My dad, Prince Francis, is the main man behind me playing football. I have to thank him for providing everything I need for training. In the next few months I will know the team I will join based on my school programme.”
