Cameroon and Cape Verde played to a goalless draw in their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Group F qualifier in Yaoundé on Wednesday.
It is the fourth time in five games that the goal-shy Indomitable Lions have been held 0-0 and is a stuttering start for new coach Toni Conceição.
In a first half of few chances, Cape Verde winger Garry Rodrigues had the best chance but his effort went wide of Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana’s post.
There was little to enthuse over in the remainder of the game in what was a low-key start for Conceição and a continuation of Cameroon’s poor recent form.
Cameroon are next in action on Sunday in Rwanda, while Cape Verde return home to host Mozambique on Monday. (African Football)
