As jostle for the Super Eagles top job is heightening the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) executive committee is narrowing down on Portuguese national, Jose Peseiro as the coach who presented the apex football body what it can afford than former French national team coach, Laurent Blanc whose bill is said to be too high for the NFF to pick.
Daily Sports can now authoritatively and exclusively reveal that the Portugese national will be receiving N20.9 million (50,000 Dollars) Monthly to coach the Super Eagles.
It would be recalled that Blanc the high flying former French national team and PSG coach was one of the frontline quality foreign hands being recommended by the NFF technical and Development committee penultimate week.
NFF representatives and the Portuguese are said to have reached a meeting point and the coach is believed to be unveiled in Abuja within the Month after the contract is signed and sealed.
It was learnt that Peseiro presented the cheapest salary level hence the NFF insisted on him despite Sports Minister, Sunday Dare’s objection which brought NFF President, Amaju Pinnick to the front line to argue that the man will do well and he is the one the executive committee has faith in presently more over his salary package of 50,000 Dollars was within the body’s budget.
Daily Sports can authoritatively reveal that Enyimba International Coach and ex-international, Findi George and another ex-international and former Super Eagles goal tender, Ike Shorunmi have been penciled down to assist the Portuguese from the indigenous coaching cadre.
