Veteran and accomplished coach Kadiri Ikhana has hit the ground running after being appointed manager of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan. Ikhana has promised to give his best to ensure that the legendary club becomes a success story in the 2015/2016 season of the Glo-sponsored league.

A report in LEADERSHIP Sports quoted Ikhana as describing joining 3SC as another test for him while promising to “give all” he can “to make the project called 3SC a success story.

Ikhana guided Enyimba to win their seventh league title on a record 70 points in the 2014/15 NPFL season.

According to a club official, Jubril Arowolo, Ikhana has already been introduced to the players after the club’s afternoon training session, where he expressed satisfaction with the new challenge at the Ibadan landlords.

Arowolo pointed out that though the club management had handed the tactician no mandate, it expects a better performance in the coming season.

“The management has absolute confidence in Ikhana to deliver the goods at the right time; at least, take the side further than their ninth finish last season,” he said.
