Bet9ja Royal Cup: Osaghae Wins Man Of The Match Award As Rolly FC Crush Unity FC

By Nelson Dafe, Ughelli on October 15, 2019

The group stage of the Bet9ja Royal Cup competition for youth clubs in Delta State got off to an enthralling start on Monday morning and in the Ughelli Stadium centre, Warri North side Rolly FC rolled over Unity FC of Asaba 3-0 to lay down a marker.

Rolly got off to an utterly dominant start, peppering the Unity defence like desperate invaders in a search of gold and at the end of the first half they achieved their aim, dismantling Unity with three goals to seal the tie.

Rolly midfielder Solomon Osaghae was a beauty to behold in the eyes of the neutrals, running the show for his team with dexterity, laser passing skills, stinging bullets of shots and a general savoir faire.

He set the tone for the rout of Unity FC with a well-converted goal in the 4th minute, with the assist coming from his younger brother and fine winger Uyiosa Osaghae. Striker Kelechi Daniel then fired in a quick double for Rolly in the 15th and 17th minutes, his second coming from a long range assist from goalkeeper Jephery Okhiria.

At the end of the encounter, Solomon Osaghae was duly awarded the Man of The Match award.

Many more is expected from the midfielder and the Rolly team as the Bet9ja Royal Cup competition roles on.
