Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) newcomers Ikorodu United have officially revealed their kits for their maiden season in the top division in a ceremony on Thursday.
The Lagos club unveiled their home and away strip with GOtv as shirt sponsor ahead of their appearance in the Nigerian top flight.
The NPFL club presented different strips of blue, red and white. One of the strips has white shirts, black shorts and predominantly black socks.
There is an all-red strip as well as an all-blue strip while two other strips of all blue and all red have red and blue stripes respectively across the bust region of their shirts.
Adewunmi Ogunsanya, chairman of the club, promised the club will offer match day hospitality when the season kicks off on February 21.
He added that Ikorodu United are ready to sell season tickets to fans.
“This is something I have been looking forward to. Our target is to take Nigerian football to the next level. Ikorodu United will be the first club to sell season tickets. Match days will be celebration days and if you come to watch with your families, you will not regret it.
“I am confident that the players in this club will win laurels. Also, I believe they will go and play for big clubs in the future,” Ogunsanya said at the launch on Thursday.
Ikorodu United will play hosts to Abia Warriors in their first NPFL match at the Onikan Stadium in Lagos in February.
