Chairman of the newly promoted Mountain of Fire and Miracles Football Club (MFM FC), Mr. Godwin Enakhena, has said that the club is aiming at playing football without violence, when the new Nigeria Premier League season begins in February.

Enakhena, who spoke during a telephone chat with Daily Sports, told Nigerians to expect a “great performance.”

He also said: “Our target is not to win the league; our target is to play in the league and make a statement. We want to play football without violence. We want to tell people that we can play football, and embrace each other at the end. We will play football without acrimony.

“Our target is to be among the top ten, at the end of the season.”

When asked whether the club is making efforts in buying top players to boost its chances, Enakhena said: “We are looking at a lot of players, but we are not going for established players.”

The MFM Chairman insisted that the club currently has the players that can lift it, which was evident in the fact that it did not lose to Enyimba, Warri Wolves and El-Kanemi Warriors when they played last season.
