Under-fire Super Eagles Coach Sunday Oliseh has said that his boys did their best in yesterday’s lone goal loss to less fancied Guinea, which led to Nigeria’s failure to survive from Group C and make it to the quarter-finals of the on-going Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) holding in Rwanda.
Speaking after the game in Rubavu, a sober Oliseh said: “We apologise to Nigerians for this loss, we never planned to exit the tournament this early. The boys gave their best.”
Nigeria, which exited the championship with four points from the defeat of Niger and draw with Tunisia, debuted at the last CHAN, with former coach Stephen Keshi in charge, and returned home with the bronze
