Everton loanee Henry Onyekuru made his Super Lig debut for Galatasaray, starting in the 3-1 victory over Ankaragucu at the Osmanli Stadium.
The Nigeria international look sharp down the wing, making darting runs and taking on the opposition full-backs.
In fact, Onyekuru made more successful dribbles (3) than any other player over the course of the game.
Onyekuru setup two goal scoring opportunities and narrowly missed a chance to score the Lions third goal.
The 21-year-old’s passing stats do not make great reading on paper, just 11 passes at a 72 percent accuracy.
However, most of his game was spent in the opposition final third, the majority of his passes were attempts to get his teammates into goal scoring opportunities in the penalty area.
Despite this, he could do with trying to get more involved with buildup play and helping his side keep possession. Onyekuru had just 27 touches on the ball in 83 minutes on the field.
Onyekuru needs time to adjust to his surroundings and build up synergy with his teammates but he is showing a lot of promise.
At this rate he may just keep Sofiane Feghouli out of the first-team, especially in away games. His energy, skill on the ball and explosive pace make him a real danger on the counter-attack. (Turkish-football.com)
