The Management of Kwara United has improved the working condition of Head Coach Ashifat Sulaiman, who was on Wednesday presented with an official car and accommodation.
A statement signed by the Media Officer of the Club, Abdulwaheed Bibire, disclosed that the gaffer was extended the gesture so as to ensure total comfort for him in carrying out the set goals of the club, especially the return to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
The Club Chairman, Prince Oladimeji Ladi Thompson, while presenting the keys of the vehicle to Sulaiman in Ilorin, said that the mission was to give him the needed support and encouragement, ahead of the enormous tasks ahead in the forthcoming Nigerian National League (NNL) season.
According to the Chairman, “The presentation of the vehicle to Sulaiman, as well as the provision of accommodation became necessary, in view of the determination of the management to give the coaching crew the support to achieve success.”
The statement further assured the coach and his lieutenants adequate support at all times.
It added that the club would continue to provide enabling environment for its technical crew and players, with a view to making the state’s darling team return to the elite league next season.
Kwara United FC got relegated at the end of the recently concluded season. Prince Oladimeji said that the task of returning the club to the NPFL, “where it belongs”, requires adequate preparation and support.
“Despite the challenges we faced, and the daunting challenges ahead, we must move on with clear-cut goals and objectives, and in achieving that, all hands must be on deck, and that was why we are laying a solid foundation to spring back as soon as possible,” he said.
He charged the coach and his assistants to brace up ahead of the hostilities ahead in the NNL.
He also sued for the support of all stakeholders in the state, even as he appealed to the government to continue to support the platform.
Coach Sulaiman will be assisted by the former Plateau United Football Club Captain, Taofeek Babatunde, in the task of returning the club to the Premier League.
