I Won’t Coach Another African Team — Herve Renard

By Daily Sports on July 28, 2019

Former Morocco head coach Herve Renard has denied rumors that he will manage another African team.

The accomplished coach is currently unattached after parting ways with the Moroccan Football Federation.

Renard resigned as Morocco head coach a few weeks after the Atlas Lions were knocked out of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in the Round of 16 by Benin.

The former Zambia coach has been linked with the South Africa coaching job in the past.

However, Renard has made it clear that he will not coach another African team after leaving Morocco.

“In order to put an immediate end to rumours which are totally unfounded,” Renard said on his official Facebook page.

“I will announce in a few days my choice.

“But I can already say as I did a few months ago that it will not be on the African continent.”

Renard is the only coach to win the AFCON title with two different countries having guided Zambia and Ivory Coast to the trophy. (African Football)
