The Management of Elkanemi Warriors has declared that the home-based Super Eagles midfielder, Ifeanyi Mathew, is still a player of the team.
Club Chairman, Alhaji Zanna Mala Mohammed, said that the former under-6 and under-20 player is still a player of El-Kanemi Warriors FC.
“I want to clear the air; that Ifeanyi Mathew has signed for another team is not true. Mathew is our player for the new season,” he said.
Alhaji Zanna recalled that Ifeanyi had earlier made it clear that he will not sign for any other team except El-Kanemi Warriors. The club chairman therefore expressed surprise to hear that another team claims to have signed the junior international. “Who cleared him to them?” he queried.
