Chinice Sports, Other Top Agents Set to Hit Asaba for Stephen Keshi Cup

By Daily Sports on June 27, 2019

One of Nigeria’s biggest sporting agencies Chinice Sports Management Company has fashioned out big plans to bring first class football agents and scouts of big clubs to Asaba for the forthcoming 2nd edition of the Stephen Keshi memorial tournament scheduled for the Delta State capital in August.

The tournament, which is in honour of the late former Super Eagles coach, promises to be an assemblage of the finest of youth clubs from all over Nigeria with their armada of young and talented players on show.

The Steven Keshi Cup is being organised by members of the National Association of Nigerian Professional Footballers (NANPF) with Musa Danladi as tournament spokesman.

Chinice Sports CEO and Vice President of Football Intermediaries Association of Nigerian (FIAN) Ferdinand Oji told Daily Sports that his agency is planning to monitor the tournament and scout for the good players with a view of elevating them to professional football clubs.

“Chinice Sports would be following the competition keenly. I'm convinced that there is a great talent pool of youth players around and with a huge competition like this, there is a need to leverage the enthusiasm of the quality players that would be on show by working with them and showing them a road map to a bigger football status which is professional football,” Oji said.

Oji is currently the official intermediary to Nigerian Under-20 striker Pascal Durugbor and the attacker who shone like a truly bright star for Swedish 3rd division side Vaxjo is currently being hotly pursued by top European and American clubs.

It is Oji’s belief that there are more players like Durugbor waiting in the wings of grassroots football.

“The talents are there. You just need to be focused and see the good in them and give them a pathway to success. That’s what Chinice Sports does and will keep doing. I can also reveal that there would be other big agents and scouts from big professional clubsides both from Nigeria and Europe as well as from other continents that are planning to hit Asaba for the Stephen Keshi Cup. So good players and their grassroots clubs should take the competition serious and believe they can gain big from it by having the opportunity of networking with important personalities in football,” Oji added.
