Super Six: Enyimba Spank Ifeanyi Ubah to Go Top

By Daily Sports on June 11, 2019

Lobi Stars' quest to successfully defend the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title has been dashed following their 0-0 draw against Akwa United on Monday, in the ongoing Super Six in Lagos.

With just three points from their first three games in the championship play-offs, the Pride of Benue required a win over Akwa United to stay in the hunt for another league title, but they had to settle for a barren draw against coach Rafael Everton's men.

In The first match of the day, there was a pandemonium at the Agege Stadium when Kano Pillars invaded the pitch after their 1-1 draw against Enugu Rangers.

Enyimba defeated Ifeanyi Ubah 3-1 in the last match of the day.

The People’s Elephant of Aba are now leading the Super Six log with ten points followed closely by Kano Pillars who are on eight points.  (Goal)
