Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa has promised that any of the three goaltenders selected will deliver a clean slate against the Desert Warriors of Algeria. on Saturday.
Eagles are up in battle against the North Africans in Saturday’s Fifa World Cup qualifying Group B matchday 2 clash at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Ezenwa said the three-time African champions are unperturbed by the Algerian antics and will go to pitch to claim the three points at stake.
“The goalkeeping department is perfectly well taken care of by the three goalkeepers – Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Daniel Akpeyi and Dele Alampasu.
“Nigerians should relax and go to sleep with both eyes closed confident that any of the goalkeepers given the nod to man the post will give a 100 percent performance.
“We have been talking to ourselves about the match and the relationship is cordial and healthy.
“The spirit among the players is quite high as everyone is focused on the match and qualification.
“We know the importance of the match and from training to off the pitch the catchword has been love and motivation to excel.
“We hope to take the spirit to the pitch tomorrow (Saturday) to earn the maximum three points.
“We are not bordered by the antics of the Algerians; that’s their own cup of tea if they came with mattresses and pillows, the key is the action on the pitch so we are focused to win the three points at stake,” said the FC IfeanyiUbah shot stopper to supersport.com.
