By Ibrahim Taiwo on June 8, 2019

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will take on Zimbabwe in Asaba on Saturday Evening in an International Friendly match to prepare for the African Cup Of Nations in Egypt.

The match will kick off 5pm Nigerian time at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.

Gernot Rohr is expected to drop two players after the match before the team jets out to Egypt to prepare for the AFCON.

Nigeria missed out of the last two editions of the African Cup Of Nations after winning it in 2013 when tutored by the late Stephen Keshi.

Mikel Obi is back in the team, making his return after he excused himself from National team duty.

Gernot Rohr failed to convince Victor Moses to rescind his international retirement decision.

Samuel Chukwueze will be hoping to continue from where he stopped the last time he played for Nigeria, while Victor Osimhen will be willing to stake a claim for a place in the AFCON travelling party.

Henry Onyekuru will also be fighting to make it to Egypt, The match against Zimbabwe is an opportunity for the aforementioned players to play their way into Rohr's heart.
