Federation Cup surprise team of the year 2015 BJ Foundation FC of Benin City is organising an end-of-year football match between the old players and the current players that played this year’s Federation Cup, in which they lost in the Round of 8.

According to the club Technical Director Douglas ldahosa, “The match will take place today, Thursday, December 24, at Arinze Primary School sports ground and we are also going to give awards to some people for their support to the team.”

Daily Sports gathered that the match will pitch the present crop of players against their predecessors now playing in the Nigeria Professional League and those playing outside the country such as the Okoro boys Osas and Stanley, Isaac Success and Ehurun Obahor, among others.

Among those to receive awards are Mr IK Edebiri, Chairman, Edebiri Sports Foundation, and Prince Obaseki Anthony, Vice Chairman, Benin Vipers FC, Edo State.

“Ex-national team players are also coming, including top club Team Managers and this year’s edition is loaded. I want to use this medium to thank all that gave us help during our national Federation Cup play-off. May the Good Lord bless you all,” ldahosa said.
