Guardiola agrees to join Manchester City at end of the season

By Daily Sports on December 20, 2015

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola will leave the club at the end of this season and has reportedly agreed a deal with Manchester City to replace Manuel Pellegrini for the 2016/17 season, according to claims made in Germany.

“Tomorrow, tomorrow,” said Guardiola when asked about his future on Saturday after Bayern Munich’s 1-0 win away to Hannover. ZDF, a publicly funded TV station, claims that on Sunday, Guardiola will announce his intention to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the current season. He will be replaced by ex-Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti who is currently on a sabbatical.

Bayern club chiefs are believed to have suspected Guardiola would not renew his contract at the club, after three years spent in charge at the Bundesliga champions, and have held talks with Ancelotti to be his longterm replacement. That move has been agreed in principle with the Italian's representative ironing out the details of a contract which will begin in the summer.
