By Daily Sports on December 20, 2015

Bayelsa Queens Secretary, Mrs Ruth Etebu, has formally declared her intention to run for the next Nigeria Women Football League election.

Election guidelines are expected to be made available in the coming days following the Annual General Congress of the Nigeria Football Federation held on Wednesday, December 16, in Abuja.
The experienced administrator becomes the first aspirant to officially declare interest to run as a chairperson in the election which is expected to take place in the last week of January 2016.

Speaking with newsmen at the Canewood Hotel on Thursday in Warri, Mrs Etebu said that she decided to join the race after seeking advice from her family members, friends and some stakeholders in the football family.

The congress has reportedly agreed to have a two-week grace for candidates for the collection and return of nomination forms, so as to give all interested stakeholders equal opportunity to vie for their various positions.
