Chukwueze Happy To Represent Nigeria at All Levels

Villarreal attacker Samuel Chukwueze insists he has no problem representing Nigeria at various age levels, after being named in their U-20 World Cup squad.

The 19-year-old was part of Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets team which won the 2015 U-17 World Cup, he has helped Nigeria’s Olympic team in their bid to qualify for the 2020 Games in Tokyo, and made his senior Super Eagles debut late last year when he played in a friendly against Uganda in Asaba.
He has now been included in Nigeria’s team for the U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Poland from May 23 to June 15.
Representing the country at three different levels within the space of a few months seems excessive, even for such a gifted player, but Chukwueze has taken it in his stride and insists that he in honoured to play in Nigeria’s colours.
“I’m always happy to play for the country at any level whenever I’m called upon and hopefully when the season ends in May I can have a clearer picture of how things will unfold, but for now I can’t give an actual date of my arrival,” Chukwueze stated.
The Flying Eagles have been drawn in Group D of the tournament alongside USA, Ukraine and Qatar and will begin their campaign against the 2022 World Cup host on May 24.  (African Football)
