Sunshine stars of Akure have become the second club in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) to suffer a stadium ban for a year.
The Akure club were sanctioned by the League Management Company (LMC) “for pitch invasion by (their) supporters clubs.” This is in connection with the disruption by their fans during the game against Lobi Stars on Sunday.
The Akure club have been banished to Lagos, where they will play their remaining matches of this season against Rangers on Wednesday, and against Enyimba on the final day.
