Players and officials of El-Kanemi Warriors arrived Katsina State on Monday ahead their week 34 Glo League match against Giwa FC of Jos.
The team left Maiduguri Monday morning and arrived Katsina in the evening, where they had a light training session at the Kakardan Stadium.
The team traveled with 20 players for the match taking place this evening. According to the team Media Manager, Prince Obaseki Anthony, the players are in high spirits and are raring to go.
Obaseki told Daily Sports: “You see, we are in Katsina to play our week 34 match on Wednesday against Giwa FC and nothing but the full points is where we set our eyes and attention on. We have the players that can execute that mission to the logical end.
“The players are in top form and they have put behind the strike and they are ready for action.”
Continuing, the Benin-born Prince said: “Let me restate that we are in Katsina that serves as our home ground with 20 players because from there we are travelling to Port Harcourt to play Dolphins on Sunday. The players are happy that their issue is being taken care of. For now all they are waiting for is for the government to settle them before the day given by LMC to pay them.
“The management has been trying their best to make sure the players’ welfare is taken care so whatever that happened last week is over. We are back to action come Wednesday against Giwa FC. We will not underrate them but they cannot stop us. All of our players are in top form.”
