Leon Balogun has lauded Brighton and Hove Albion supporters for spurring the team to a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old set a Premier League record with his maiden English Premier League after replacing Pascal Gross in the 31st minute.
Glenn Murray had opened the scoring at the Amex Stadium from the penalty spot before Florin Andone sealed the win for the hosts with his effort in the added time of the first half.
And Balogun, delighted with the team’s performance, has singled out the fans’ support as they grabbed their second win in a row.
“Outstanding team performance last night! Not easy being down to 10 men, but your fantastic support from the stands made us compensate that!
“It’s that unity you could feel at the Amex last night that makes this club @OfficialBHAFC so special!”

With Shane Duffy set to miss the next three league matches as punishment for his straight red card, Balogun will hope to secure his spot in Chris Hughton’s squad when they visit Turf Moor for Saturday’s Premier League against Burnley. (Goal)
