Yobe Stars sign three Go Round players

Yobe Desert Stars head coach, Ngozi Elechi, has revealed that the Damaturu side have completed the signings of Victor Obiowo, Reuben Essien and Solomon Chidi Nwachukwu from Go Round.

Apart from the trio, the tactician also disclosed that Osimaga Duke has teamed up with them from Akwa Starlets.

He confirmed that he has sent his schedule of activities for the start of the season to the management of the club including where they are to have their closed camping exercises. The former Go Round handler said that he has suggested the choice of either Aba or Lagos for their final closed camping to enable them to fine-tune their preparations before the start of the season.

“I can confirm to you that we have completed the signing of Obiowo who is a goalkeeper. We also have with us Reuben Essien and Solomon Chidi Nwachukwu and the three have joined us from Go Round FC,” Elechi told Goal.

“We also have some other players including Osimaga Duke from Akwa Starlets among others. We are not yet up to the standards we expected but we are making progress. We will continue with the rest of our training regimen until our closed camping is approved.

“I have submitted the rest of my pre-season programme to the management for their perusal and approval and I am awaiting their response. I told them that I will prefer we go to the South to either Lagos or Aba for 100 percent concentration.”  (Goal)
