Eagles to camp in Asaba for Bafana Bafana

Super Eagles will camp in Asaba ahead of their African Nations Cup qualifier game against South African on November 17 at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg and the friendly with Cranes of Uganda at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba November 20, footballlive.ng can report.

Fillers coming from the media officer of the Super Eagles, Toyin Ibitoye indicated that the camp for the must-win game against the Bafana Bafana will open November 12 with players expected to arrive Asaba in preparations for both games.

Nigeria leapfrogged Libya and South Africa to currently top the Group E of the AFCON qualifier and a victory against the Rainbow country will see them book their place in next year’s tournament to be hosted by Cameroon in June.

The players and the technical team will depart for South Africa on November 16 aboard a chartered aircraft and will return to Nigeria after the game to prepare for the friendly against Uganda.The Stephen Keshi stadium in Asaba which hosted the AITEO Cup final game between Kano Pillars and Rangers will be used for the first time by the national team who have been using the Goodwill Akpabio stadium in Uyo for most their games in recent years.
