Asisat Oshoala ends 2018 season in China with a bang

Asisat Oshoala wrapped up the 2018 Chinese Women Super League with on a high, scoring the matchwinner as Dalian Quanjian defeated Changchun Dazhong 1-0.

Last week, the 24-year-old was on parade as her side played a goalless draw with closest title challengers Jiangsu Huatai to clinch the diadem for the third consecutive season with a match to spare.

On Saturday, the Nigeria international netted the winner in the 74th minute as Dalian won third-placed Changchun to end another successful league season with 11 victories in 14 games.

Despite missing out on the top scorer gong this term, Oshoala will be pleased clinching a back-to-back league title in her second season in China, with 10 goals from 14 games this season.

Following a title-winning season, the former Arsenal forward will be eyeing another title glory with Nigeria when they compete at the upcoming 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Ghana. (Goal)
