‘Zaha can play for Barcelona or Real Madrid’, says Crystal Palace legend Morrison

Wilfried Zaha has the potentials to play for one of the top four teams in England, Barcelona or Real Madrid, according to Crystal Palace legend Clinton Morrison.

Morrison, scorer of 102 league goals in two spells with the Eagles, believes that the Cote d’Ivoire international is a ‘top player’ and – despite signing a new long term contract extension to ward off interests from big clubs including Chelsea – it would be difficult to keep him at Selhurst Park for long.

“They’ve got a lot of good players and Wilf Zaha is the standout player,” Morrison told Yahoo Sport’s ‘The Football Show’.

“He’s a superstar! I’ve been speaking to him and he said it’s different this season trying to adjust his game. He’s been playing upfront off Benteke, instead of coming from the left and you can see him getting frustrated.

He’s a top, top player, I believe he could play for one of the top four teams or even Barcelona or Real Madrid. He’s a superstar and when he has the ball at his feet he makes things happen.

“Eventually he’ll leave, but we have to make the most of them while he is there.”

Coach Roy Hodgson will hope to have Zaha back in his fold as Palace look to get back to winning ways when they square up against Huddersfield Town in Saturday’s Premier League clash. (Goal.com)
