Barcelona coach Valverde: I must speak to Pique about arrest

By Daily Sports on September 3, 2018

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde admits he plans showdown talks with Gerard Pique .

The defender has been arrested for driving without a valid driver's licence, which is likely to see him fined around €300,000.

Valverde was asked about the situation yesterday: "I have not spoken with him yet, so far I have no information about his point of view in this story.

"I could only speak in the light of what has happened to me, but I prefer to first discuss with him to be aware of this situation. Those like us who defend an institution, a club has a public image but also a private image.

"I insist, I will not make any judgment without having first spoken with him." (Tribal Football)
