Movements of Eagles players the tonic for victory against Seychelles, says NFF VP Seyi Akinwunmi

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) 1st Vice President, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi believes the movements of Nigerian players in the transfer market will be the tonic needed by the Super Eagles to overcome Pirates of Seychelles in a 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.

The Eagles will hope to fly past Seychelles at the 10,000 capacity stadium, Stade Linité situated at Roche Caiman in the outskirts of Victoria, the capital of Seychelles.

“We at the NFF are delighted with the fact that our players secured moves in the Summer transfer window that ended on Friday 31st August,” Seyi Akinwunmi began in a chat with Footballlive.ng.

“When players are enjoying regular game minutes it will aid their fitness and put them in the right frame of mind to face any hurdle.”

“This will go a long way in helping the Super Eagles win the game against Seychelles. It will afford the technical crew to have fit and active players in camp.”

“I belief that we have the machinery and tools to come out victorious at Roche Caiman. We will come out unscathed in the fixture,” he concluded.

The Seychelles Football Federation has already scheduled the Group E, Matchday 2 encounter for the Stade Linite in Victoria, which is capital city and also within the island of Mahe, one of the main islands in the archipelago of 115 islands that is Seychelles. The match kicks off at 4.30pm Seychelles time (1.30pm Nigeria time) on Saturday, 8 September. (Footballlive.ng)
