Swedish Hyundai cup match: Nigeria's Durugbor scores twice as his div 3 club shocks High riding div 2 side Nassjo 4-1

By Daily Sports on August 31, 2018

He's not doing his chances of getting a sought-after national call any harm. Since he arrived in Sweden, joining Division 3 side Vaxjo in the league, striker Pascal Durugbor has taken the challenge of making a name for himself in Europe by the scruff of the neck, scoring goals for fun.
On Thursday evening in a Hyundai Cup game Durugbor was yet again on the scoresheet, helping his Vaxjo FC team to a surprise 4-1 hammering of division 2 side Nassjo IF.
Not only are Nassjo IF a full division above Vaxjo in the Swedish Football ladder, they are currently enjoying a fine run in the division 2 east Gotalland league.
But Vaxjo FC are making their Ataby Park arena home a fortress this season and leading this charge is the burly Durugbor who has so far scored 13 league goals in 16 games for Vaxjo FC this season.
Durugbor scored a double to sink Nassjo IF,with Vaxjo FC qualifying for the quarter finals of the prestigious cup competition.
Admirers of Durugbor would hope that his performance so far would convince the national team (especially the under 21 Flying Eagles') handlers of his native Nigeria to give him a call to serve his country.
Durugbor was only last year playing for Benin City based Rock Stars Academy.
