Trabzonspor desperate to sign Omeruo

By Daily Sports on June 21, 2018

Trabzonspor are pulling out the stops in an attempt to convince Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo to join this summer.

We recently reported that Trabzonspor tabled an offer for the Nigeria international who has spent the past three season in Turkey.

According to the Trabzon based newspaper Taka Gazette, Chelsea have welcomed Trabzonspor’s loan offer.

Per the source, Trabzonspor midfielder  Ogenyi Onazi has been tasked with convincing Omeruo to make the switch to the Black Sea Storm this summer.

Both Onazi and Omeruo have been included in the Nigeria national team which is currently competing at the 2018 World Cup.

Trabzonspor are on the hunt for new defenders this summer after parting company with three centre-backs in the past month.

Omeruo is yet to make a single appearance for Chelsea despite joining the London based club back in 2012.

The versatile defender is no stranger to the Turkish Super Lig having spent the last three campaigns with Kasimpasa and Alanyaspor. (turkish-football.com)
