Jokanovic ready to fight for Sone Aluko's stay in Fulham

By Daily Sports on August 1, 2017

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic revealed that selling Sone Aluko this summer will be a big mistake for the club and he is ready to fight to keep the Nigeria international in his team.

Aluko has been linked with transfer bids away from the Craven Cottage having garnered nine goals in 50 games for the Cottagers last season.

The Super Eagles forward joined the west London club last summer and his boss has declared that he will fight for him with a likely contract extension.

Aluko was in action for Fulham’s last pre-season game on Saturday which ended 3-0 in favour of Wolfsburg before they start their Championship season with a game against Norwich City on August 5.

"In this moment the only job that I can do is to fight for Sone Aluko because around me there is some news that we are thinking about selling him,” Jokanovic told BBC Radio London.

"If we do this it will be big mistake for my team."Ultimately, it looks likely there could be a contract extension, the club have had multiple bids for him and have rejected them."
