By Daily Sports on May 29, 2018

It will be a packed Tuesday at the French Open. At 11:00 AM, Marin Cilic, who reached the quarter-finals here last year, opens his campaign against James Duckworth. Then, the world No. 1 Rafael Nadal will finish his first round match against Simone Bolelli.

The Spaniard leads two sets to love, but is down 0-3 in the third set. The match was suspended on Monday due to a rain delay. Serena Williams will make her first appearance in Paris since 2016, when she reached the final. The American, who last played a Grand Slam 16 months ago at the 2017 Australian Open, faces Krystina Pliskova.

Chardy vs Berdych and Halep vs Riske will close the day on Philippe Chatrier. On Suzanne Lenglen, after Denis Shapovalov vs John Millman, Maria Sharapova will head to the court to play the match that was scheduled on Monday, against Richel Hogenkamp.

Caroline Garcia faces Yingying Duan, followed by Juan Martin del Potro opposite to Nicolas Mahut. The Argentine said he will decide just on Tuesday whether he will play, as he is still recovering from a groin injury. (Tennis World)
