Wenger’s decision to leave Arsenal depressing and sad for me — Iwobi

By Daily Sports on May 3, 2018

Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi says manager Arsene Wenger’s decision to leave the club is “depressing”.

The Frenchman recently confirmed he would leave his post as Arsenal manager this summer after 22 years at the helm.

Iwobi told ESPN: “It’s a bit depressing and a bit sad for me — he has done a lot for me in a short time in my career.

“We’re going to try and give him the right send-off he deserves and end the season on a high and do our best for him.”

Despite his disappointment at seeing Wenger go, Iwobi is anxious at seeing who replaces him.

He added: “It's exciting times — we’ll have to wait until after the World Cup to actually meet him.

“So it’s exciting, but it’s also sad times that Wenger is going.” (Tribal Football)
