Katsina United will again put to test their poor away record when they square up against Wikki Tourists on Sunday in one of the NPFL matchday 10 fixtures at the New Jos Stadium in Jos.
Wikki Tourists, who are now playing their home games at the New Jos Stadium due to the on-going renovation at the Abubakar Tafawa Belewa Stadium in Bauchi, will host Katsina United in another Northern derby.
‘The Chanji Boys’, who are still basking in the euphoria of their emphatic 3 – 0 victory recorded at home last Sunday against the billionaire club FC Ifeanyiubah, will be looking forward to end their abysmal run of form away from home when they visit Wikki Tourists.
Wikki, who lost narrowly on Sunday to Heartland, will approach this encounter with all level of seriousness in order to be back to winning ways and give their fans something to cheer about.
Katsina United, who are seeking their first win on the road, will also leave no stone upturned by putting everything into this game so as to end abysmal run of form away from home.
It might be a difficult mountain to climb for Katsina United as they have not won a game on the road since they returned to Nigeria top flight league last season.
But considering the blistering form of the players and the technical savy of coach Abdullahi Biffo, ‘The Chanji Boys’ might spring a surprise in Jos today.
Wikki Tourists, who are yet to hit top gear at home, have inflicted 1 – 0 defeats on all four clubs who have visited them so far this season – Go Round FC, Niger Tornadoes, FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Lobi Stars.
