Kano Pillars head coach Ibrahim Musa says his team will sustain the momentum to keep their unbeaten run as long as possible.
‘Sai Masu Gida’ have gone seven matches without a loss and occupy second place on the league table with 17 points from 10 matches.
Musa in a chat with npfl.ng this week expressed optimism that his team have maintained a rich mentality capable of defeating any opponent in the league this season.
“We have started well and today the tempo of this mentality is still burning like a flame. We have all resolved to maintain the same pace until we find ourselves at the top of the league table with a comfortable lead,” Musa told npfl.ng.
The former champions have so far won four matches, drawn five and suffered their only loss to Rivers United in Port Harcourt. They however hold one of best away records so far, having played out draws at Katsina United, El-Kanemi Warriors, Sunshine Stars and Rangers International.
Musa wants his squad to replicate their winning character as they take on Go Round FC in one of Matchday 11 fixtures at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.
“We will unleash our arsenal against Go Round so that we can pick up the maximum points available and step up to a better position on the log. We don’t know them too well, but our aim is to approach the game like every other tough encounter in the topflight, hopefully three points is assured,” said Musa.
