Nigeria's only FIFA Match Agent and Chief Executive Officer of Monimichelle Sports Facility Construction Limited, Ebi Egbe, has lauded Governor Henry Seriake Dickson's effort towards repositioning sports in Bayelsa State.
Egbe, who is popularly known as Moni Love, told journalists at his head office in Yenagoa that Governor Dickson is sports personified, taking into consideration the number of projects undertaken by his administration in the sub-sector.
The CEO of Nigeria's foremost sports facility construction company expressed gratitude to the Bayelsa governor for allowing his company showcase its vision through rendering of quality jobs.
"It is only a man who loves sports that will ensure that the state has the best playing turf in Nigeria and one of the best in sub-Saharan Africa.
"I wish to thank the Countryman Governor for giving us this wonderful opportunity to be a part of sports development in the state. I reassure him that I won't let him down as the Samson Siasia Stadium will be the talk of the town when we are through with remodelling it.
"We have been in this state and we can see how our governor has broken all records and indeed all barriers to bring development to Bayelsa. I am indeed proud to be a part of this dream of transforming Bayelsa. He has proven doubting Thomases wrong and even surprised his ardent supporters with his passion, drive and commitment to restoring glory to the Glory of All Lands," Egbe said.
Speaking on the Restoration Cup, the FIFA match agent said it is a wonderful development as it will not only engage the youths in the state but will also expose the hidden talents, especially those in the rural communities.
"I love the idea of the Restoration Cup and that is the reason I'm supporting the tournament by providing trophies and medals for the first, second and third placed winners. I plan to back it up with a cash donation, which I hope will help the tournament become one of the best community-based football competitions in Nigeria.
"This is just my small support for sports development in Bayelsa State and indeed the Ijaw nation. I am always ready to work with Governor Dickson and the Restoration team in transforming this great land."
Egbe also promised to work with some foreign scouts to see that the best players selected from the tournament are taken abroad for trials, with the hope that they play professional football.
