After staying out of action for four matches, Hapoel Beer-Sheva midfielder John Ogu is looking forward to his return for his club against Ironi Kiryat Shmona in Wednesday’s quarter-final second leg Israeli Cup game.
The first leg ended 1-1 at the Yaakov Turner Toto Stadium three weeks ago.
Ogu was banned for four games for misconduct by the Israeli FA after he was sent off in Hapoel Beer-Sheva’s 1-0 defeat to Maccabi Tel Aviv last month but claims he is mentally and physically ready to return.
“The dark days are over I’m ready to get back into action again,” Ogu told Completesportsnigeria.com.
He also wrote on his official Instagram page: “Thank you to the real Supporters of my Club for the support during my suspensions. I think now I got to know the real people in my life and Career. I will keep fighting for you to put a smile on your faces. Love you all!!
The game will be his 145th in all competitions for Hapoel Beer-Sheva since he joined the club in 2015.
Ogu who has played 18 games and scored once so far this term has won the Israeli league title twice, the Israeli Super Cup twice and the Israeli Toto Cup once. (Completesportsnigeria)
