Ozil calls Rihanna his lucky charm as the music queen watches Arsenal destroy Everton

By Daily Sports on February 5, 2018

Mesut Ozil is the man of the moment after signing a new £350,000-a-week contract to stay at Arsenal, committing his long-term future to the north London club.

And the playmaker declared Rihanna his “lucky charm” after the singer watched another victory for the Germany international, as the Gunners thrashed Everton 5-1 at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Global superstar Rihanna celebrated Germany’s 2014 World Cup win with Ozil and his team-mates in Brazil, with Die Nationalmannschaft beating Argentina 1-0 in the final to lift football’s ultimate prize.

After full debutants Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ran riot and Aaron Ramsey netted a hat-trick against the hapless Toffees, Ozil posted a selfie with Rihanna to his Twitter followers.

“Still unbeaten with Riri,” Ozil wrote on Twitter, noting Rihanna had been present for Germany’s win in the 2014 World Cup final.
