Osemene returns to Covilha after unhappy spell in Albania

By Daily Sports on January 23, 2018

22 year old Nigerian forward Onyeka Lucky Osemene is back at second division Portuguese side SC Covilha after his contract with Albanian side KF Teuta was terminated.

The forward joined the Albanian side in August from Covilha, but he failed to find the back of the net in the nine games he played for the team in the league in Albania, a form which lead to his release by the modest team.

Osemene was an instant hit in his first stint with Covilha with three goals in nine games before his move to Teuta in Albania, but he failed to replicate same form as he only scored once and that was in a cup game against Kamza on the 13th of December last year.

He has played the majority of his career in Portugal, hence he won’t have much difficulties adapting to life in the country especially as he will be playing for his former team, where some of his teammates are still in the team.

Since his move to Europe in 2014, he has represented Salgueiros, Ribeirao, Sporting Braga II, Trofense and SC Covilha with a total of 19 league goals to his name ‎from all of the team he has played for including Teuta, where he last played. (Owngoal)
